 Dear Residents of District One

It has been an honor and a privilege to represent the residents of District 1 on the Lake County Board. Keeping my constituents informed about Lake County is very important to me and I'm always available to you to talk about this issues in Lake County.

My priorities have always been Fiscal Responsibility, Transportation, Transparency, our Opioid Crisis & 911 Consolidation. I currently serve on the Finance, Planning, Public Works, Transportation & Rules Committees, as well as Lake County Stormwater Management and Lake Co. Liquor Commission.  Since elected in 2008, I have worked at maintaining a balanced budget, transportation needs, planning & zoning concerns in the unincorporated areas, flooding and being fiscally responsible with tax payers dollars. In 2019, we approved a flat levy for the first time in 20 years.

I have always been passionate about serving my community.  I currently serve on the Lake County Opioid Initiative (LCOI) board of directors, which works to address the rapidly increasing opiate problem in Lake County. I also serve on the Antioch Area Health Care Accessibility Alliance (AAHAA), which is a nonprofit organization dedicated to making sure that all our neighbors are connected with and receiving the healthcare services they need and can afford. I am also a member of the Antioch Rotary Club and past president and Co-Chairman of the 1992 Antioch Centennial Celebration.

I also served as a Commissioner on the Lake County Forest Preserve, of which I previously served eight years as Vice President, and I serve as vice-chair of the Public Works, Planning, Transportation and Zoning Committee, then I also serve on the county Legislative Committee.

I am very pleased to say we have opened two forest preserves in District One during my time in office. We opened Pines Dunes and Ethel’s Woods since I was elected in 2008.

Prior to my years on the County Board, I served as a Trustee on the Antioch Township Board and I worked as a Legislative Assistant for two State Representatives.  My husband Dean and I are both lifetime residents of Antioch and have two children and four grandchildren.

I am running for re-election in November and your support would be greatly appreciated. Please feel free to reach out to me with any questions or concerns at
